We highly recommend putting fair efforts in achieving pleasant user experience as visitors expect a smooth performance of website during their stay (sometimes, only for seconds) on the website. You don’t want to mess it up, right?
What our beloved Google ‘guru’ says?
Google has outlined some important guidelines for us to improve the performance of webmaster. Listening to google guru would make you earn brownie points with google analytics and automatically enhance your website performance.
It is logically observed that if you open a website and it doesn’t open within a couple of seconds or instantly, you would lose your interest. Yes, humans are impromptu in nature. Know more about BluEnt’s Web Development ServicesE-mail: email@example.com

How would we solve it?
Google has a solution as it says that the entire web page doesn’t need to load in one go. As above-the-fold content can load immediately, while the rest of page can take few more seconds to appear. Doesn’t it sound fair enough? We agree.
As per research, a mobile page should open within one second, but google subdivides it as follows:
Your server should respond in less than 200ms and your above-the-fold content should open in another 200ms. Your website should have a minimum number of redirects for smoother function. We highly recommend google research and abide by it.
If you pursue the following tips, you aren’t far from the success. Let’s elaborate our experience with our previous projects.
- You need to cap the ‘performance budget’
A performance budget is a prearranged ceiling on the size or speed of the page. It is necessary to put a limit to a page bloating as well similarly to financial budget. If you don’t control your expenditures, you might end up doing nothing. To elaborate this, if you would like to add more fancy elements or heavy images to your website, you need to pre-decide your web design accordingly and make enough room as per your performance budget. If adding new elements is going to increase your page budget, then you might need to adjust your existing elements by adding or deleting the features to make it run smoother.
- You need to optimize images
One of the major factors in loading the web page slow or bloated web pages is the size of the images used. Images can convey many words and many business websites want to use higher resolution images to make it look attractive to their consumers. But you need to be careful that your web page doesn’t clutter with too many images.
- You need to visualize your brand first
What does this mean? This means that you need to create a visual brand identity of your responsive web design. You got to identify your brand image and its mission to attract the target audience. Every inch of your web design should reflect the needs of customers for your products or services. If you set your brand identity clear from the start, it would enhance your responsive web design towards the goal of gaining valuable customers and successful business. You need to succeed in touching emotions of your target audience to sell your idea.
- You need to navigate well
For achieving advance responsive web design, you need to have responsive navigation patterns. In most of the web patterns of popular mobile apps, the navigation pattern is hidden on either side of the screen and respond based on the user movements on the web page. This is famously known as an off-campus menu. This helps in lowering the distraction of the visitors away from the content and focus on the key areas to sell the product.
Another example of responsive website navigation pattern is the page-jumps. Page jumps let your visitor move up or down in a long web page by clicking on a link. It sounds quite an amazing feature, isn’t it? It lets the visitor move through the website quickly and proved to be increasing the conversion rate as well.
A better conversion rate depends upon multiple factors including responsive web design. We highly recommend using these approaches in your web design developing stage to build a better user experience for your audience. We also advise you to focus on building a powerful brand strategy which would work on all devices and platforms.
